Hollywood actor Natalie Portman got no special treatment when she quietly arrived in Sydney last week.
While some celebrities, including Masked Singer star Dannii Minogue, have sought hotel quarantine exemptions, an insider told Confidential that the A-list star is serving out the mandatory 14-days with her family at a no-frills government appointed hotel.
“She’s in quarantine at a hotel arranged by the government, just like anyone else. No special treatment,” the source said.
Portman arrived in Australia on Tuesday with her husband Benjamin Millepied and two children Aleph, nine, and Amalia, three.
The actor previously announced she will begin filming on the Marvel Studios movie Thor: Love and Thunder in Sydney next year, after production was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Very excited. We’re shooting in Australia at the beginning of next year... Obviously everything is weird because of pandemic time, who knows what’s happening. It will be exciting and I’m interested to see if I can gain muscle,” she told her Instagram followers in July.
The film, which also stars Chris Hemsworth, was originally set to premiere next year but has since been pushed back for a February 2022 release.
The blockbuster is expected to create up to 2500 jobs and give the economy a much needed boost of over $178 million.
