IT wasn’t just a wedding for Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich, it was a three-day Italian festival complete with dinner in a cave, dancing on the roof and an epic pool party to “recover”.
Guests and the happy couple have begun revealing more details and behind-the-scenes pics from the Bachelor wedding of the year, held at the Masseria Potenti luxury hotel in Puglia, Italy.
The wedding entourage kicked off the festivities on Wednesday with welcome drinks and a dinner banquet in a white-walled cave, with Heinrich’s sister Charlotte calling the affair “a magical first night”.
Heinrich, the bridesmaids (who wore Rebecca Vallance dresses) and the mother of the bride then spent the wedding morning being primped and preened by hair and make-up artists, drinking champagne and dancing.
After walking down the aisle in a $15,000 Steven Khalil gown, Heinrich and Robards — dressed in a white tuxedo — were surrounded by a Melbourne wedding band they had flown over for the event.
Playing saxophones and trumpets as the couple danced, guests added to the music with tambourines they were gifted.
The pair later chose Frankie Valli’s Can’t Take My Eyes off You for their first dance and cut a four-tiered cake as guests toasted “The Robards”.
The following day was marked with an epic pool party “recovery session”, which involved Robards dancing on the roof to John Paul Young’s Aussie anthem Love Is In The Air.
On Instagram on Saturday, Heinrich revealed she has chosen to take her husband’s name.
She called the nuptials “the most incredible three days of my life”, while Robards added: “Decided to turn it on and turn it up for the big day!
“Thanks to our amazing friends and family for making these 3 days so memorable … and epic!”
