Model Fiona Falkiner says her baby bump is good for business

TV presenter Fiona Falkiner, who is expecting a baby with her fiancee sports reporter Hayley Willis has revealed the surprising perks of being pregnant.

Baby bumps are good for business according to model Fiona Falkiner.

Falkiner is pregnant with her first child, a son, and due in the new year.

She originally thought work might slow down since her belly started growing.

But she’s found it’s the complete opposite. And it’s not just maternity brands that are hiring.

“A few years ago I thought I wouldn’t be able to work when I was pregnant, but, to be honest I’m busier than ever.”

The former Biggest Loser host believes the trend is due down to brands looking a models and their story a whole, and not just concerned with the size clothes they are wearing.

“I’m trying to work as much as possible now because I want to take a solid time off when the baby comes.”

Falkiner is an ambassador for Specsavers and said it was a handy alignment considering the motherhood journey ahead. “Sunglasses finish a look. Back in the day they used to hide the effects of the wine the night before but soon they will be hiding the effects of sleepless nights.”

Falkiner and her fiancee Hayley Willis announced their pregnancy in September after detailing their IVF journey on their podcast What the Ivf?

She’s not the only model who has found the phone kept ringing while pregnant.

Tahlia Giumelli was still modelling a week before her second daughter Elodie was born last month.

Meanwhile, Falkiner says when it comes to summer sunglasses trends, she can’t go past a big cats eye style and is a fan of the Carla Zampatti collection.
