It’s not only Michelle Bridges’ healthy image which is being questioned following her drink driving charge; the fitness guru’s most recent book is now in jeopardy.
Sunday Confidential can reveal Bridges, who last Sunday allegedly blew an alcohol reading of .086 while driving her Range Rover in Bellevue Hill with her four-year-old son on board, was preparing to publish her 21st book — 12WBT Low-carb Solution — at the end of next month.
It is now believed publisher Pan Macmillan is in crisis talks with the former Biggest Loser coach to determine a new launch date.
The $36.99 book advocates “an easy low-carb approach to healthy eating — comprising moderate protein, small amounts of good fat, and SMART carbs (low carbs, not no carbs) — with a focus on natural, unprocessed foods”.
It also gives general advice to help individuals reset their habits, lose weight and foster long-term good health.
Sunday Confidential believes the book launch might now be rescheduled until long after her February 18 court visit — to “let the dust settle”.
It’s been a tough few months for Bridges, who not only suffered the humiliation of the very public drink driving charge, but also split with her partner of seven years, Steve “Commando” Willis.
The personal trainer, fitness book author and former personality on Celebrity MasterChef Australia was a trainer on The Biggest Loser from 2007 to 2015.
She now runs the popular online 12 Week Body Transformation program for fitness and weight loss.
