She’s forged a ripped reputation for her hard line stance on training and physical fitness but when it comes to her five-year-old son’s first day of school, Michelle Bridges admits to being a softie at heart.
“I will probably shed a tear,” Bridges told The Daily Telegraph as she prepared son Axel to start primary school on Thursday.
“I am a basket case at the best of times when it comes to my son but I will try not to
embarrass him.”
Bridges, 50, has built a fitness empire after rising to national fame as one of the straight talking trainers on reality show The Biggest Loser, where she met former partner, Steve ‘Commando’ Willis, who is Axel’s father.
“I feel really emotional,” she said.
“My baby is going to school. I don’t know what happened to the last five years. It is quite overwhelming in a way.
“He has a fairly strong, wonderful and fun personality.
“He loves to get in and meet with all of the other boys that he played with at preschool, they are all going together so he has friends already.”
It will also be an adjustment for Axel, who went to preschool three days a week previously.
“The first few days are probably going to be exhausting for him.”
The extra time with her son at school will be a bonus for Bridges in running her business.
She has just launched her new 12WBT Back to Routine e-book and a new range of Mini Me kids clothing.
