One of this year’s crop of farmers on Farmer Wants a Wife admits he’s found the one.
NSW sheep farmer Andrew Guthrie, from Delegate, is happily shacked up with one of the girls from the show, which starts this Sunday night.
However, has to keep her identity a secret.
“Honestly, I’m looking forward to the show finally airing so we can get on with our lives,” the 30-year-old said.
Guthrie, who mate signed him up for the show saying he was a turkey farmer, says he didn’t expect to fall in love.
“I hadn’t been single all that long. Maybe four or five months,” he said. “Honestly I didn’t expect to find it, but I met someone that I had never clicked with in that way before. For me it was obvious from the start.”
Though while Farmer Wants a Wife is billed as the reality television show with the most heart, it doesn’t mean this season is without drama. “There was a bit of drama,” Guthrie said. “I think if you put five girls in a house, who are all dating one guy, there is going to be drama.”
With 170 marriages, one long-term relationship and 387 beautiful farmer babies worldwide, Farmer Wants A Wife is the world’s most successful dating show. In Australia alone, the series has resulted in nine marriages, one long-term relationship and 23 babies.
Farmer Wants a Wife premieres Sunday 7pm and continues Monday to Wednesday at 7.30pm on Channel 7.
