Now that’s a line-up – Mariah Carey, Pitbull and Wiz Khalifa.

After taking a year break in 2024, Fridayz Live is back and the festival line-up is, well, huge.

Headliner Carey will also be joined on the bill by Lil Jon, Eve, Tinie Tempah and Jordin Sparks in a mega concert schedule that trumps any of the previous six instalments, which have more than 600,000 people have attended.

It has been 11 years since superstar Carey last visited Australia.

“I missed you terribly, certainly the fans and the people, the beautiful land and the animals,” she said.

“You know, it’s Australia. C’mon!”

The festival will be held at Sydney’s ENGIE Stadium, with a capacity of 45,000, on October 18.

Dates are also locked in for Brisbane (October 17), Perth (October 24) and Melbourne (October 25).

Fridayz Live was first launched in 2016, with previous headline acts including Janet Jackson, Nelly, Macklemore, Usher, Black Eyed Peas and 50 Cent.

Tour promoter Matt Gudinski said the 2025 event would be its biggest ever.

“After having that year off last year, we wanted to return with the biggest, most exciting and greatest line-up yet,” the Mushroom Group chief executive told The Daily Telegraph.

“A lot of work has gone into it. It is a lot of planning and getting all of the stars to align.”

With an event of this scale, Gudinski said it was important to deliver artists that were not regular visitors to Australia.

It is Pitbull’s first trip down under in more than a decade.

“Co-ordinating something like this with so many superstars on the line-up just brings a different element of organisation and logistics to make it all work, whether it be the stage changeovers, the different productions,” he said.

“We do the biggest and the best, be that Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift or Bruce Springsteen, but having seven global superstars on one stage on one night brings a different level of co-ordination.”
