Former MAFS bride Jules Robinson the new face of Jenny Craig

Reality TV star Jules Robinson has set an ambitious post-pregnancy weight goal after becoming the new face of Jenny Craig.

Jules Robinson has committed to losing 20kgs after signing on as the new face, and body, of Jenny Craig.

The reality star and businesswoman has already shed more than half of that goal, down 11kgs since starting her weight loss journey 11 weeks ago.

Robinson’s weight has fluctuated throughout her life. Her focus however over the past two years has been on falling pregnant and the subsequent birth of her beloved baby son, Ollie.

“While pregnant I put on nearly 20kgs, which is completely normal and after I had Ollie I lost nearly half of that,” she told The Daily Telegraph.

“But over the last eight months of post-partum, that 10 kgs slowly crept back on and I was the weight I was when I gave birth. I’d say that is a very familiar story that happens with a lot of new mums.”

Robinson, 39, continued: “And to be honest, I had no intention of wanting to lose weight or focus on my health goals until I was about seven months post-partum.”

With Ollie now 11 months, Robinson is focusing on herself a little more.

“This is where I feel my best, I feel my strongest,” said Robinson, who runs shapewear brand Figur by Jules is spearheading Jenny Craig’s Rapid Results MAX plan.

“Health is at the forefront of my mind, feeling strong takes precedence over looking a certain way. Over the last two years I have gone from a size 12 to a size 18 and not for one moment have I ever doubted my appearance or not felt great about myself.”

She added: “It’s all a process, the first stages of motherhood is appreciation for your body and what it’s doing and then the gratitude that you made life and just how amazing that is, and then acceptance, throughout the quest of post-partum I accept that my body is different now, it won’t ever be how it was. How can it? I have so much appreciation for my body and want to honour it with health for the future.”

Former Spice Girl Mel B is a global ambassador for Jenny Craig while other previous celebrity associations include Jelena Dokic, Brendan Fevola, Magda Szubanski and Barry Humphries’ alter-ego Dame Edna Everidge.
