Outspoken Married At First Sight star Jessika Power has unleashed on new Bachelorette Angie Kent, calling her a “fame hungry hypocrite”.
The controversial reality star told Confidential that Kent’s recent comments about MAFS being “super-trash” are offensive and “hypocritical”.
“She thinks she’s better than us,” Power said.
“She got her start by drinking on TV [Gogglebox] and now that she’s the Bachelorette, she wants to look down on people. Please, she’s dating 21 guys at once. She’s just a bogan and a hypocrite!”
Kent was recently quoted saying that MAFS is the trashiest reality TV show on Australian screens, a comment that did not sit well with Power.
“Yes, I had an affair but I own what I did,” she said.
“She just wants fame — she’s been on Gogglebox, I’m a Celebrity and now The Bachelorette … as if she couldn’t find love already?”
Kent will debut as The Bachelorette on Wednesday night, with Channel 10 hoping she will attract the same stellar ratings Sophie Monk fetched in 2017 after Ali Oetjen’s lacklustre season last year.
