If you’d like a good book recommendation list, get in contact with Sydney-based billionaire Richard White.
While most of the population use Tinder to find and lure potential suitors, it’s become clear the embattled founder of tech giant WhiteTech Richard White uses LinkedIn to converse with the opposite sex.
It’s also become apparent the 69-year-old has a penchant for blondes, entrepreneurs, likes to be considered somewhat of a mentor – and that he sends each of his love interests the same book list to boost their intellect.
Saturday Confidential has seen the generic email that White – who this week stood down as CEO of WiseTech after weeks of damaging revelations about his personal life – sends to the women who contact him on LinkedIn for business advice.
Under the headings Process and problem solving, Psych and cognitive bias, Randomness and Logical fallacy, White has listed 10 books for the women to read.
Among them are The Bed Of Procrustes, Predictably Irrational, Thinking Fast And Slow, Bringing Out The Best In People, The Goal and It’s Not Luck.
He also advises the women on the receiving end of the email to buy a Kindle Paperwhite.
“The ability to read in bed or on a plane or in bright sunlight is fantastic and you no longer have to lug heavy paper books to keep a bookmark,” he writes.
“The books are to do with business management, systems thinking, psychology, cognitive bias, statistics, randomness, resilience and the human condition ... Good luck – your own passion, curiosity, focus and dedication is all you need to succeed. Richard.”
White’s name made headlines this month after it was revealed he tried to bankrupt eastern suburbs beauty entrepreneur Linda Rogan over a $91,000 sum she spent on luxury furniture at a $13.1m Sydney mansion he allegedly bought for her in 2022 – before their affair was discovered by his now-wife Zena Nasser.
The bankruptcy matter was discontinued this week after the matter settled.
Rogan took to social media yesterday to say: “I had to go to war for this peace. So many messages of love and support. Thank you.”
Since then, other women, including one Confidential has chosen not to name, have come forward alleging he offered business advice in exchange for sex.
Disturbing allegations – in court and in the media – have wiped billions from WiseTech’s market capitalisation and an estimated $2bn from his personal fortune.
The chatter among many cash-strapped women in Sydney’s east is that if you need a house, hook up with White.
“It has become clear that if you want to live in the eastern suburbs, it is no longer satisfactory you meet a guy on a $400,000 salary,” one insider said.
“You need to be with someone on a $1m salary. That man was Richard for some women.”
