Kylie Jenner’s bra changes Aussie woman’s life forever

Kylie Jenner headed to Coachella wearing a $69 bra, and changed Australian designer Kate Nixon’s life, even if it meant a lot of missed phone calls on her honeymoon.

Kylie Jenner has put Aussie designer Kate Nixon on the map, although she blew up her honeymoon in the process.

Jenner wore a $69 bra with sheer crop and jacket over the top at the Coachella Music Festival in California at the weekend.

Nixon, founder of lingerie and pyjama brand Kat The Label, woke up in Thailand on her honeymoon to her phone “blowing up”.

“It has been phenomenal,” Nixon told Confidential.

“I don’t even know how you’d go about paying for placement like that, it is just massive.”

A marketing agency Nixon’s team had been working with in Los Angeles had recently sent the item, the Frankie underwire bra, along with other pieces, to Jenner’s stylist.

Nixon founded the brand eight years ago and has spent that time dreaming of a name like Jenner wearing her label.

Jenner has 387 million followers on Instagram and can charge hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions, to promote products on social media.

Her post featuring Kat the Label has so far attracted more than 14,400 comments and 6.7 million likes.

“We sold out (of the item) pretty much straight away and the long-term impact, we are really excited about,” she said.

“It is really exciting and has just been a surreal experience to be honest. Hands down, this is the biggest thing to happen to us.

“Every year the goal has been to get it on a Jenner, Kardashian or a Hadid or someone like that so to have it actually happen, it is exciting that it happened but to know that someone that famous is wearing an item that you designed and love is really flattering.”
