KIIS FM radio host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson will be back at work tomorrow, after being rushed to the emergency room halfway through her number one rating breakfast show on Tuesday morning.

“After a series of tests, Jackie has been treated for an infection and was released from hospital this afternoon,” Henderson’s manager told The Daily Telegraph on Monday night.

“She is resting up at home and will be back on air tomorrow. A huge thank you to the wonderful staff at Royal North Shore Hospital.”

Co-host Kyle Sandilands told listeners on Tuesday that Henderson had to leave the studios to get medical attention. The 48-year-old felt a tingling down her arm, which can be a symptom of a heart attack.

She had undergone a procedure to remove a uterine polyp, a growth attached to her uterus, on Sunday.

Sandilands and Henderson were about to interview Angela Bishop when she started feeling unwell.

“She just stepped out for a lay down. She’s got like a corset dress on and she had an operation yesterday,” Sandilands told listeners.

“She also didn’t sleep much because of Intern Pete’s melatonin tablets that kept her up and then she’s been on the Red Bulls this morning.”

Earlier in the show, Henderson shared that she’d been to see her gynaecologist for the removal procedure on Monday.

“Yesterday I had an operation and was under general anaesthetic so I couldn’t sleep during the night,” the mother of one said.

“I had a uterine polyp removed. The doctor said it would make my periods more regular.”

Adding: “’I thought ‘What do I look like on the operating table? Nude and wearing a shower cap’.”

“Don’t tell me gynaecologists aren’t going ‘she’s hot and I get to see her vagina in five minutes’.”

Radio announcer John Laws, took issue with the discussion happening on-air prior to his interview, and hung up moments before he was due to receive a call from the hosting duo.

A KISS producer interrupted the broadcast to tell Henderson that Laws had hung up because he was “offended” by her story.

“John Laws was ready to go because he was coming on the show next but he was offended by Jackie’s vagina conversation and doesn’t want to come on,” he told the pair.
