Jodi Anasta becomes Jodi Gordon again ahead of Braith’s wedding

Five years after splitting with husband Braith Anasta, actor Jodi Gordon has decided to drop his surname.
The 35-year-old Neighbours star, who had always been adamant she would hold on to his surname, quietly changed her social media handles back to her maiden name this week.
It is believed Gordon made the move after learning her ex-husband and his new fiancee Rachael Lee will soon tie the knot.
However the surname change surprised even those close to the actor, who has always said she would remain “an Anasta”.
“I want the same surname as my daughter,” Anasta said in interviews following her split from the retired NRL star.
“I have no problem. I am an Anasta. It’s a done deal.”
Anasta and Gordon, who share custody of six-year- old daughter Aleeia split in 2015 after their relationship broke down.
It is believed they went their separate ways after Anasta wanted more children and to settle down as a family, while Gordon was keen to return to work.
The surname change comes just after Gordon abruptly quit her role on Neighbours after five years on the soapie.
The mother-of-one took to Instagram in January to confirm she was leaving the show, sharing a series of photographs of herself and her castmates.
Her decision came just months after she took some time out from the show while suffering from “exhaustion.”
It is believed Gordon will move to Sydney where she will be closer to her young daughter and family.
