Billionaire James Packer has reunited with his ex-wife Erica to treat their three children to a family holiday in splendid isolation on board his $200 million luxury yacht off the coast of Mexico.
As the US topped the international toll for COVID-19 deaths and Mexico climbed to No.6 on the list behind Brazil, the UK, Italy and France, the businessman packed up his children and ex-wife — along with a party of her friends — for a cruise of the Mexican coastline that would afford his young heirs Indigo, Jackson and Emmanuelle a handsome view of the new compound he is building on the coast at Cabo, a property they can one day expect to inherit.
With Packer’s girlfriend Kylie Lim remaining in Aspen, the casino magnate was free to focus his attention on his family, and entertain them with the many on-board amusements on the five-storey yacht which boasts a cinema, heated swimming pool, gymnasium, sauna and flotilla of jet skis.
The businessman arrived in Cabo three weeks ago with a small entourage and headed straight to the IJE, which is named after his children.

The Crown boss’s private jet then made shuttle runs to Los Angeles to collect guests hoping to escape the COVID threat for a couple of weeks, a source confirmed.
Once Erica and the children were on board, the IJE turned northwards and sailed up the Baja Peninsula’s east coast to tourist hotspot La Paz.
The party of revellers remained on board, however, Packer having stocked the 108m Benetti gigayacht in advance to ensure every luxury and convenience was at hand. Last week Packer’s party returned to Cabo with Erica and the children returning to shore via skiff before jetting back to LA.
Packer later ferried another group, some of whom were wearing masks, back to the boat.
