Ryan Gallagher says there was nowhere to have sex in the jungle, nor would he have wanted to with girlfriend Charlotte Crosby.
Shutting down suggestions the romance was put on for TV, the former Married At First Sight contestants says marriage could even be on the cards.
“If we are together for a few years, maybe that might happen, who knows,” Gallagher told Confidential after being voted off I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!
“We will have to wait until it comes. We won’t know until we talk about it.”
Gallagher and Brit Crosby, famous globally for appearing on hit UK series Geordie Shore, hit it off instantly in the South African jungle camp and quickly forged a romantic partnership.
Some though speculated the relationship was simply for show and to gain more attention and viewer support.
While Gallagher was voted out, Crosby is still in the competition.
“It was nice while we were in there and hopefully it is nice when we come out,” he said. “I am out and I’ll be waiting around until she gets out in South Africa, I am not going home just yet. We are both looking to continue it so hopefully it does.”
He added: “She made the jungle a lot easier to have her in there with me. It was nice to have a companion and someone to care about.”
While admitting the pair “snuggled” each night, Gallagher shut down any suggestion the pair took their relationship to the next level in the camp.
“We weren’t looking to do that stuff on camera and I wouldn’t put her in that position and I don’t think she wants to be in that position to be honest,” he said. “That would make a mockery of it if you did that. I think it is much better to wait until we are out and if things go further, things do. We will have to wait and see. But nothing did happen in the jungle like that. There are no secret areas, every camera looks at every angle.”
In a surprise twist, Gallagher, who lost 10kgs on the rationed diet of beans and rice, is backing someone other than Crosby to be crowned queen of the jungle.
“Rhonda (Burchmore) is the most wonderful, caring woman you will ever meet in your life, she is just an amazing woman,” he explained.
“I would love Charlotte to win but I think she would agree that we want Rhonda to get it because she is so deserving and would literally get the biggest thrill of winning. It would make her day so I would love to see her with a big smile on her face.”
