‘Given wrong information’: Spanian’s wife debunks tell-all story time
Just days after teasing revelations about her marriage to ex-prisoner turned social media star Spanian, his wife’s latest posts have taken a dramatically different direction.
Things have taken yet another turn for controversial influencer Anthony “Spanian” Lees and his wife Angela McColl.
The heavily tattooed Sydneysider, who openly claims to have spent more than 12 years in prison and two decades on the streets, has become somewhat of a social media sensation for previously teaching his now 908K Instagram followers how to dodge the law.
But McColl, who earlier this week teased a “story time” about their marriage, has now backed down, claiming she was wrong about her supposed “receipts.”
“I was given wrong information … about a child being born at the same time as mine with the same person … I received fake ultrasounds, fake texts and fake photos. People crazy, everyone can unfollow me now,” she wrote.
She also made a joke online about “crashing out,” which often refers to having a “mental breakdown.”
It came just days after her cryptic post: “Who the f. k did I marry and have a kid too will be out shortly, shout-out to spanian.official.”
She also updated her bio to reference the tell-all, though it later disappeared.
McColl’s account remains private and she did not respond to questions.
The couple married in August 2023 at Le Montage in Sydney and welcomed a son in May.
Despite Spanian’s growing profile — including the launch of Spanian Kebabs in Melbourne, which was firebombed earlier this year but relaunched within hours — controversy has remained close.
In 2022, McColl was charged after an altercation during Sydney’s mask mandate and received a six-month conditional release order with no conviction recorded.
