Sydney’s top interior stylist Steve Cordony and his long term partner Michael Booth have split.
Sunday Confidential can reveal the Sydney power couple, who tied the knot in March, have mutually decided to go their separate ways after a 15-year relationship.
“Mike and Steve have separated after 15 great years,” a close friend of the couple told Sunday Confidential.
“It is amicable and comes at a time when they are both pursuing new frontiers.
“Everything happens for a reason. They are both just looking forward now to the next chapter of their lives.”
Their intimate wedding, which was featured in fashion bible Vogue, was held at their home in Orange and attended by close friends and family, including publicist Hayley Bonham, Donna Hay and sister Amanda Cordony from the Cordony Kitchen.
“I never dreamed I would get married, let alone to my best friend, at our home, surrounded by our truest people, and then see it in Vogue. Young Steve is still dreaming,” Cordony said at the time.
Just months prior to their wedding, Cordony celebrated his 40th with close friends including Caroline Tran, Elliott Garnaut, Michael Lo Sordo and Rolando Schirato from Vittoria Coffee and Santa Vittoria in attendance.
The couple spent the last few years of their life together renovating and restoring Rosedale Farm, a circa 1877 homestead at Orange, which they purchased in 2017.
