‘Don’t hold sentimental value anymore’: Tammy Hembrow moves on

Following a messy breakup, one of Australia’s best-known influencers says she’s selling her wedding dresses because they ‘don’t really hold that sentimental value anymore’.

Tammy Hembrow is making room for a fresh start, putting her three wedding dresses up for sale following the end of her seven month marriage to Matt Zukowski.

The fitness influencer, who announced her split from the former Love Island star in June, shared a now deleted Instagram video revealing she was offloading the gowns, saying they no longer hold “sentimental value.”

“I don’t know if this is a little bit unhinged but I don’t really care to be honest,” Hembrow said in the video.

“I wanna get rid of my wedding dresses, obviously I was going to keep them originally but obviously they don’t really hold that sentimental value anymore so if anyone wants to buy one let me know.”

Hembrow wore three Vera Wang looks during her Byron Bay ceremony, all featured in Vogue. They included a full-skirted rose-tinted tulle gown, a sleek strapless design, and a short corsetted dress with a dramatic train.

On the same day Hembrow made her announcement, Zukowski was spotted by Confidential making a swift appearance on the blue carpet at the Fantastic Four: The First Steps premiere.

While other influencers lingered for photos, he moved at a noticeably faster pace, wasting no time getting inside.

Dressed in a classic cream suit and brown shoes, he later posed at the media wall while keeping his distance from the bustling crowd of fans and press.

The couple’s whirlwind romance began in 2023 after Zukowski reached out to Hembrow via Instagram DMs.

After weeks of online speculation, Hembrow confirmed the split on TikTok, telling her followers through tears that she was getting a divorce.

“This is giving me so much anxiety,” she said in the video.

“I wanted to finally tell you guys that I am going to be getting a divorce.

“I know a lot of you have been following my journey for years so I wanted to be open about it and you know I do know for me, addressing it for you guys is sort of therapeutic.”

She chose not to go into detail about the break-up, saying she wanted to respect those involved, but admitted it had left her heartbroken.

Zukowski broke his silence three weeks later on his podcast Where’s Your Head At?, explaining why the relationship came to an end.

“There is no easy way for me to say this and to speak about it. I’m absolutely shattered to announce it, to be honest, but at the end of the day, we weren’t right for each other,” he said.

“I know there’s a lot of whispers and rumours online, and people are wanting to hear the ins and outs of our relationship and what happened that led to us separating, but you got to remember that this is real life and I’m still processing it in real time.

“I also have too much respect for our relationship and what we had. Plus, there are three beautiful children involved, so my priority is focusing on healing and reconnecting with myself and feeling happy again.”

Zukowski told co-host Anna McEvoy it had been “one of the toughest times in my life” and admitted he was leaning on therapy to get through it.
