THEY may be celebrity “royalty” but the Beckham family yesterday followed the well-worn path of many a tourist arriving in Australia — and headed straight to Bondi.
Football star David and former Spice Girl-turned-designer Victoria are here to join fellow British power couple Prince Harry and Meghan at the Invictus Games later this week.
But first they will enjoy a few days of rest and relaxation with three of their children — Romeo, 16, Cruz, 13, and Harper, 7.

The family landed just after 7am and were ushered to a waiting Land Rover, where a smiling Invictus Games ambassador David — clutching his daughter’s pink backpack — thanked staff before getting behind the wheel himself.
They drove to Bondi where they were later spotted at lunch, with Harper and Cruz clutching Calippo ice blocks.
There were earlier doubts Victoria, 44, would join the family in Australia — after posting on social media on Friday that she had checked into exclusive German wellness retreat Villa Stephanie, at Baden-Baden.
She was reportedly angry with her husband, 43, for saying their 19-year marriage was “hard work”, in an interview for last night’s Sunday Project.
But the famously dour star almost had a smile on her face in the passenger seat as her husband drove off from the airport yesterday.
The couple are expected to make a formal appearance at the Games later this week.
