Well, the secret is out after Lee was revealed to be behind the parrot head on The Masked Singer Australia.

“I was confident they had no idea about my voice,” Lee, who has starred in a number of Bollywood productions, told The Daily Telegraph.

“I was given the character of the parrot without choosing it but I think that it definitely does resemble some part of my personality … colourful, somewhat cheeky and likes to be around friends.”

Lee, 42, wowed judges Lindsay Lohan, Dave Hughes, Jackie O and Dannii Minogue with his performance of Hoodoo Gurus pub rock anthem What’s My Scene on the new Channel 10 reality show.

His departure follows former Big Brother host Gretel Killeen being revealed as the singer behind the octopus mask on Monday nights first episode.

Early signs are that Ten has a ratings hit on its hands with the light hearted family friendly show launching to a national viewing audience of 1.16 million viewers. The format originated in South Korea, where it was called King of Mask Singer, with the series featuring 12 celebrities singing in head to toe costumes with their faces concealed by masks.

Their identities will be unknown to other contestants as well as the judges, who do their best to identify the singer solely from their voice and a series of clues.

The judges failed to guess Lee’s identity, guessing it could have been Shane Warne, Kelly Slater and Nick Cummins.

“I saw a fair bit of the USA version and thought that it looked like a lot of fun,” Lee said of his decision to take part.

“Also the fact that I would’ve been doing something totally out of my comfort zone also excited me and the fact that it wasn’t a singing contest more so of a guessing game.”
