He’s spent a decade building his singing career in the US and is dating a Hollywood A-lister but Australian singer Cody Simpson still calls Australia home and plans to raise his family here.
“I would like to return back in Australia for sure,” Simpson told The Sunday Telegraph.
“I miss Australia a lot. I would like to come back more. I will always have a home base in LA, but Australia will always be Number 1.
“LA makes a lot of sense for me for work but I will always be an Aussie.”
When asked if he planned to raise a family in Australia, the singer/model replied: “Absolutely, yes”.
Simpson, who will today be announced as the face of Bonds new ‘WeGotsYou’ campaign, said while his first official modelling gig was daunting, his years spent as a swimmer prepared him a little.

“This is very much a first,” he said.
“But I am very proud to be part of it.
“The modelling was all right in comparison to some of the other things I do. I grew up as a swimmer so was in my Speedos everyday. So for me getting down to my underwear was not much different.”
Simpson, who is no stranger to sharing racy photographs of himself and girlfriend Miley Cyrus on social media, said he didn’t have to do much to get in shape.
When asked what prep he did ahead of the photo shoot, the 23-year-old quipped, “None really. I was kind of in generally … pretty regularly working out.
“I am not bragging, but I didn’t have to do too much more work. Maybe I did a few extra push ups.”
Simpson, who calls himself an environmentalist, said it’s fitting Bonds chose him to model their new organics range.
“For me as an environmentalist it is an important part of my life,” he said.
“Being environmentally friendly is a huge part of my life and my daily living. I try to be as conscious as I can and as conscious as society allows me to be.
“I am very proud to be a part of this campaign. Bonds are prioritising sustainability.”
