'Deserved a bit of what I copped': Michael Clarke

Former Aussie cricket captain Michael Clarke has bowled a surprise off the pitch – handing his glamorous girlfriend of one year, Arabella Sherborne, the coveted role of his executive assistant.

Sunday Confidential can reveal sporting great Clarke has enlisted Sherborne to be his EA and he also has new management.

Sherborne, who recently left her job as a leasing executive with Scentre Group, has deleted her LinkedIn profile and is looking after Clarke through her new executive concierge business.

It’s not only Clarke’s payroll she is on. Sherborne is believed to look after a number of other high profile people.

As for Clarke’s new management, we can reveal Morgan Barta, a long time industry expert and managing director of talent agency Atarimae, is now looking after Clarke’s commercial and endorsement deals.

The new partnership comes two years after Clarke’s controversial A Current Affair appearance, where he promoted a new line of lemon, lime and bitters from the Australian Bitters company and was quizzed on his infamous Noosa brawl.

Clarke, who didn’t have representation at the time, was reportedly warned against doing the interview by many close to him, however, ignored their advice.

The former cricket captain, 44, and his girlfriend marked their one year anniversary with a post last month, where Clarke paid tribute to his love alongside a photo of the pair cuddled up.

“12 months ago I met me best friend …. She is still standing right beside me’ Michael wrote in his caption.

‘Happy anniversary @arabellasherborne’ he added.

Sunday Confidential revealed they were dating last year.

They then officially confirmed their relationship when they stepped out holding hands at celebrity hotspot Mimi’s in Sydney just a few weeks later.
