Days after her ex-boyfriend pleaded not guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm and common assault, Ryan Phelan’s ex Chelsea Franklin has taken a swipe at the former Seven Daily Edition TV host via social media.

Ryan Phelan’s ex-girlfriend is back on social media and appears to have taken a swipe at her former partner.
Chelsea Franklin put her Instagram profile on private after Phelan was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and common assault last month.
He pleaded not guilty to both charges at Manly Local Court on Tuesday.
“Oh how nice this would be right about now,” Franklin wrote on Instagram, sharing an image of her passport and boarding pass for a flight to Honolulu. “Some wanderlust and escapism. #ToughWeek #fbmemories #FavouritePlace #Hawaii #CantWaitToTravelAgain #StandingStrong #Truth.”
Phelan, 45, has been staying with a friend since the incident, which police allege in court documents occurred at the couple’s Frenchs Forest home at 5.20pm on June 20.
He has not returned home since the incident and has only had contact with Franklin via email, according to documents that set out the allegations.
“The offence involved violence in a domestic situation … (Phelan) has no history of violence,” court documents say.

The former co-host of The Daily Edition briefly appeared at Manly Local Court on Tuesday. The case was adjourned and will return to court on August 11. Phelan has engaged Claudette Chua as his instructing solicitor, as well as high-profile barrister Margaret Cunneen SC.
“The allegation against my client is emphatically denied,” Ms Chua said outside court.
“Mr Phelan has been co-operating with police, he respects and understands that police and the courts have an obligation to take any allegations of domestic violence seriously.”
Franklin previously told The Telegraph she was “devastated” after her partner was charged.
“I am completely devastated. I’m heartbroken,” she said.
“He was my best friend and lover. We have had an amazing wonderful relationship, so I hope he is OK.”
