DESIGNERS, media, models and actors descended on Fox Studios tonight for David Jones’ annual Spring Summer parade.

Sydney’s A-list including Isabel Lucas, Megan Irwin, Mimi Elashiry, Phoebe Burgess, Jasmine Yarbrough, Ksenija Lukich, and Lindy Klim walked the ruby rug and posed against a media wall covered in fresh ferns and lush greenery.

One noticeable absentee, who had RSVP’d to attend, was Karl Stefanovic, who is believe to be in Thallon covering the drought, however his stunning fiancee Jasmine Yarbrough was front row and centre sporting in a low-cut black suit by KitX which she paired with her signature Mara and Mine shoes.

Uber blogger Elashiry, who always bring her A-game to the ruby rug, was one of the last to walk the red carpet and made sure she was miles away from The Upside designer Jodhi Meares, whose ex-husband Nicholas Finn she is currently dating.

“I’m happy,” Elashiry told Confidential when asked about her love life. “Very happy.”

Also out on a school night was pregnant beauty Phoebe Burgess, who dressed her bump in head to toe Camilla and Marc.

Fresh from a trip to New York with Johnson and Johnson’s, The wife of NRL player Sam Burgess who is expecting a baby boy by the end of the year said she was already anticipating she may have another footballer on her hands.

“Oh gosh, I’m not even going down that path yet,” she said.

“I wish I could ban it in my house, I wish I could ban my husband from football, purely because of the injury factor.

“But these boys know their bodies.

CRAZY BEHIND-THE-SCENES ACTION THAT LETS THE SHOW GO ON

“Look, I’m sure when my baby boy grows up he will make his own choices, but I’m not even going down that path yet. He could play the cello, he could be a fashion designer or an architect or a tradie.”

Burgess, who gave birth to her first born Poppy in January 2017 said she already has a little bruiser on her hands.

“I already have a mini Sam,” she said.

“She is so rough and tough. She is really kind with other kids but she is just like Sam. She jumps of couches, she split Sam’s face, she has absolutely no fear.”

Post red carpet, majority of guests were gossiping about David Jones’ big ticket item for the night — Anwar Hadid — with attendees underwhelmed by his $200,000 appearance.

“He totally didn’t want to be there,” one well-heeled designer said.

“He looked down to the ground majority of the time he walked, only looking up for the cameras at the end.”

Another model who caused a stir was Megan Blake Irwin, who raised eyebrows thanks to her “wild antics”.

While the VIP front row sat quietly and viewed the department stores spring summer offerings, Blake Irwin did her best to take the spotlight away from the clothes.

Leonardo Di Caprio’s former flame could be screaming, cheering and waving her arms around “like an idiot” throughout the runway show, much to the displeasure of those around her.

“It was really odd behaviour. It reminded me of Alice McCall a few years ago.

“It was really disruptive and people couldn’t help but look at her when they were meant to be watching the fashion.”
