THE Bachelor’s Cassandra Wood has bounced back after being left heartbroken by Nick “Honey Badger” Cummins.
“I finally feel like I’m in a good place,” Wood told Confidential at a Nova Red Room event with Conrad Sewell on Tuesday night.
Cummins shocked the nation when he decided to leave the series single, ditching finalists Brittany Hockley and Sophie Tieman in the penultimate episode.
Hesitating when asked whether she’s been in contact with Cummins since the infamous double-dumping finale aired, Wood said: “I’ve just been kind of focusing on myself and making sure I’m happy.”
Wood, 23, was at the centre of much controversy when it was revealed she and the Honey Badger not only knew each other but had dated before the reality show.
She placed fourth in the competition.
Admitting Cummins “did cop a bit of s**t” following his decision not to choose Brittany or Sophie at the end of the series, Wood understands he is “doing well now”.
