Candice Warner opens up on sledging of cricketer husband Dave Warner and future baby plans

Cricket WAG Candice Warner has opened up about having another baby, while discussing sledging on the cricket pitch against her husband Dave Warner.

Four months after giving birth to her third child, Candice Warner has indicated another could be on the cards.

The 34-year-old former ironwoman wife of cricket star Dave Warner is in no rush though.

“I would love another one,” Warner told Confidential. “I don’t know if it will ever happen and it won’t be any time soon if it does. I love kids and I love a big family. David is still heavily in his career, which means he is away a lot of the time and three kids on my own is a lot and three kids travelling is a lot.”

Warner is already mum to Ivy Mae, five, Indi Rae, three, and Isla Rose, four months.

While Sydney will bask in the glory of the inaugural Iron Jack Golden Eagle Day at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday, Warner will meanwhile attend Derby Day at Flemington as part of the Melbourne Cup Carnival.

The Warners own four horses and hope to one day breed the next Winx or Pharlap.

“That is everyone’s wish isn’t it?” she said. “Anyone that owns horses wants their horses to race in the pinnacle of the sport. So if it ever did happen, it would be a dream come true.”

Attending the races will be a welcome rare outing for the busy mum.

Of parenthood, she said: “I am one of those annoying very strict regimented routine kind of mums because I have to be. I juggle like every other mum does. Besides working out and looking after my kids, my family is everything.”

A return to professional sport is off the cards for Warner.

“I would definitely look at doing another marathon or maybe a triathlon somewhere down the line but at the moment, nothing professional ever again,” she said. “I am very competitive though and I love to train and work out so I will do something, just it has to work around the family and work around David’s schedule because seeing him succeed and play for Australia is our number one priority.”

Meanwhile, Warner said she “doesn’t pay attention” to sledging that happens on the pitch involving her husband.

“I am there to support my husband and go to the games,” she said. “There is sledging everywhere in all sporting matches, in workplaces, it is just everywhere so to me, it is water off a ducks back.”
