Two of Sydney’s most high-profile buyers agents have gone their separate ways, with
mystery surrounding the breakdown of their personal and professional relationship.
Simon Cohen and Tammy Soglanich, who worked alongside one another at prestige buyers
agency Cohen Handler for seven years, have abruptly cut ties.
Soglanich joined Cohen’s team initially as an assistant, and was in his team as the 40-year-old’s profile rose and he worked on some of Australia’s largest residential property deals.
However Soglanich, who appeared in TV reality series Luxe Listings Sydney as Cohen’s offsider, has left the company in recent months.
It is rumoured that she has joined a new, rival firm of buyers agents.
Given they are two of Sydney’s best-known and respected agents, there’s been much conjecture surrounding their feud.
Social media chatter and Sydney gossip alike has not confirmed a reason.
Neither Cohen or Soglanich would return Confidential’s calls yesterday.
According to friends of the pair, the formerly close friendship and partnership has broken
down over a number of months, with increasing tension in the office.
“Simon and Tammy worked well together on Luxe Listings and between them have handled some of the biggest deals in Australia’s residential history,” one friend said.
“It seems like Tammy just wanted more. It’s sad it has come to this.”
Soglanich, who is married to real estate agent James Bennett, attended Loreto Kirribilli and studied fashion at TAFE.
