“I don’t say worse dressed, I say closed minded,’’ she posted on Instagram.
“Everyone says a woman should look elegant.
“But who defines elegant?
“A woman should feel free to express herself and do what she wants with her body.
“She shouldn’t be shamed for not ‘fitting’ in.
“This is me, not a stunt for shock factor.
“I believed in what I was wearing.”
Grecko’s choice of frock was the most talked about of the night on social media, with many unkind comments not fit to print.
She said she had many inspirations for the dress.
“It’s a mixture of tough edges of Givenchy, Thierry Mugler and Jean Paul Gaultier,’’ she said on the red carpet last night.
The model will be in Melbourne for a couple of days before returning to her base in New York City.
