BRENDAN Fevola has vowed to behave at Monday’s Brownlow as he takes up a hosting role on Channel 7’s red carpet coverage.
Fevola, who famously had a drunken night at the event in 2009 as a Carlton player, is returning to Crown to work alongside Rachael Finch, Hamish McLachlan and Belinda Sloane.
“I haven’t been to a Brownlow since I dominated the last one I was at,” he said.
“It’ll be good to get there and host it. I’m more mature these days and I think I’ll be beverage free.
“People love the red carpet and it’s obviously a big part of the night.”
Fevola has another function to attend after the count starts, and on Tuesday night will support a less glamorous event, the Kick In For Georgia footy fundraiser.
All proceeds from the night at Arcadia Hotel in South Yarra will go towards the fight of nine-year-old Georgia, the daughter of popular Channel 10 cameraman Hamish Russell.
Georgia has a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer called osteosarcoma and is having treatment at Monash Children’s Hospital.
Natalie Hunter and Candice Wyatt, pictured with Fevola, will be joined at the event by Peter Helliar, Rob Mills and footy stars Shaun Higgins and Stewart Crameri.
Tickets are $50, available at trybooking.com/RTBB
