“Wow, holy moly,” Fordham told Confidential.
“That is a huge result. It is a great wedding gift for our executive producer Liam McGuire, who ties the knot on Friday. The latest ratings prove once again that Sydney loves 2GB and we love our loyal listeners. Thanks for listening.”
Nova 96.9’s Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald, Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli and Kate Ritchie enjoyed a solid jump to come in third spot with a share of 8.6 per cent, marking a rise of 1.1.

He registered a 7.8 per cent share, followed in the morning timeslot by Hamish Macdonald with a share of 7.1 per cent, up 0.2, an increase of 1.5 percentage points.
The ratings result comes days after Fordham revealed to The Saturday Telegraph he was reconsidering his long term future at 2GB, citing an interest in joining his brother’s business and the impact of a lack of sleep.
“Now I’m heading towards 50, I look at the business my parents built (The Fordham Company), and I’m so extremely proud of it. I’m looking at how it’s grown under my brother’s leadership and I’ve got a bit of a niggling interest in the back of my mind to get involved.
“I do enough reading to know sleep is an essential part of health and longevity and I don’t get enough of it, and my job is 24/7. I’m conscious of that and wanting to be around for my three beautiful children and my gorgeous wife Jodie.”
Meanwhile,
The seventh GfK ratings results will be released on November 25.
