NEW The Bachelorette Ali Oetjen deeply regrets getting bigger breasts and doesn’t want a man who is “just attracted to my boobs”.
The 32-year-old reality TV contestant said her biggest mistake was having breast enhancement surgery nine years ago in a bid to impress a boyfriend and hopes to get them removed or reduced.
“My boobs were not money well spent,” Oetjen told The Sunday Telegraph
“If I had my time over, I would not have gotten them done.

“When I got them done, I did it for someone else. I thought it would make them happy.
“I have also had my lips done, ages ago, and won’t do it again. I would only ever have plastic surgery again to get my breast implants removed. I do not like my boobs.”
The South Australian-born beauty, who is set to star in the latest series of the Channel 10 program, said she prides herself on her natural and healthy lifestyle and has learned her large implants are at odds with that persona.
“I feel like I want to portray a really healthy and positive body image for women now,” she said.
“I want to reinforce that if women want to do something like get breast augmentation, they should do it for themselves, not anyone else.
“My message to other women is never change yourself for someone else. Be happy with how you look and who you are and have a think about what makes you happy, because you are the only person who counts. You are in control of your own happiness and no car, no materialistic things, no boobs, are going to do that for you.”
When asked if she believes her busty appearance results in her being misunderstood, Oetjen said: “Of course. I am completely misunderstood. But I can’t change who I am and I am not going to change who I am for anyone else.
“I definitely don’t want a man who is just attracted to my boobs.
“It took me so many years to realise that.”
Oetjen is following in the stilettos of Bachelorettes Sam Frost, Georgia Love and Sophie Monk in Channel 10’s latest series of the popular reality dating show.
This is her third attempt at finding love on Australian TV, having appeared in the inaugural 2013 season of The Bachelor Australia and then Bachelor In Paradise, where she fell for American Grant Kemp.
“I am just so excited and can’t wait to share my journey with everyone,” she said.
“I know there will be a lot of scrutiny, but anything that is worth having takes a lot of hard work. It takes a lot of courage.”
When it comes to what she’s looking for in a man, she has a lengthy, yet reasonable checklist.
“I am looking for someone with strong family values, someone that has a healthy lifestyle, someone that is kind, a good person, has a kind heart, is easy going, has a great sense of humour, someone that will make me laugh, has a great sense of adventure, someone who is going to be a loving and supportive husband, a good bloke, role model and father,” she said.
