ONE year after he was fat-shamed for his “Bali belly”, The Bachelor host Osher Gunsberg has hit back at his haters, unveiling his buff new body.

ONE year after he was fat-shamed for his “Bali belly”, The Bachelor host Osher Gunsberg has hit back at his haters, unveiling his buff new body.

Gunsberg, once known as Andrew G, has lost an impressive nine kilo’s and 11 per cent of his body fat over a ten week period and transformed his mental health, reports The Sunday Telegraph.

The newly married 44-year-old, who has openly spoken abut his battles with alcoholism, depression, OCD, anxiety and body dysmorphia, gave up his medication, including antipsychotic drugs, to overhaul his body and mind, two things he has struggled with since he was a young boy.

“I’m the son of a Lithuanian mum and a Czech dad,” Gunsberg told Men’s Health Magazine.

“We ate a lot of lard, a lot of black bread, a lot of stinky cheese and a lot of meat, nothing but meat in our house.

“I ended up in Weight Watchers by the time I was in grade 3.I was bullied pretty hard.

I ate terribly, drank way too much soft drink, ate pizza and burgers. I stayed

that way for a long time. At that point in my life I hated myself.”

Gunsberg’s weight has fluctuated throughout the years, however in X thought it was time to focus on his health and overhaul his mind and body.

“I was on meds for a long time but I came off them just before I started this challenge,” he said.

“Coming off meds it’s suddenly like everything is back. When I started the challenge, I knew I had to put something in place of where the meds had been. What I’ve found these last few months is that my response to triggers has just been dulled so much. I’ve found a way to take the edge off the world again through exercise.

“For me now, it’s just how I’ve got to live. No, scrap that, how I get to live. Because I’m really lucky that I’ve found a way to manage the brain I was born with. That I get to feel this way and not be on medication.”
