Byron Bay may have lost a Hemsworth, but it has gained a loved-up Bachelor couple.
Just weeks after Australian actor Liam Hemsworth and his model girlfriend Gabriella Brooks quietly left Byron Bay to make a move to the US, “Matty J” Johnson and his fiancee Laura
Byrne have purchased a $1.87 million home in the Byron hinterland town of Bangalow.
The popular couple were spotted meeting their real estate agent at the property they purchased back in late September, alongside their young children, Marlie, 2, and Lola, nine months.
It’s believed the pair, who met on the fifth season of The Bachelor Australia in 2017, will remain in Sydney and won’t be moving into the property for a while.
Johnson, who describes himself on social media as a “middle-aged dad doing his best to be funny” is pursuing a media career, while Byrne owns popular jewellery brand, ToniMay.
We’re yet to see whether the pair will pop up in the next season of controversial Byron Bay reality TV show, Byron Baes.
