Abbie Chatfield has called for less drama after splitting from boyfriend Konrad BieÅ-Stephen, just six months after announcing the reality TV couple were in an open relationship.
The former Bachelor contestant took to social media to diffuse suggestions of a break-up while not denying the reports.
Bien-Stephen is currently overseas in Argentina shooting Channel 10 reality show, The Challenge, and is understood to have hooked up with another former Bachelor alum, Megan Marx.
“Hey! I’ve seen the articles about Konrad,” Chatfield wrote on an Instagram story. “He’s out of the country so I won’t be commenting on anything until he’s home. Can everyone not be so dramatic pls and relax hahahahahaha,” she wrote.
“Both of us are totally okay. And can the paparazzi get their daily pic of me picking up dog poo then let me get a coffee in a peace also.”
Chatfield’s social media has been flooded with questions about the couple’s relationship over recent weeks, sparked by the fact she has not commented on Bien-Stephen’s posts or whereabouts.
She also announced an addition to ‘her’ family with a new dog.
Up until just a few weeks ago, Chatfield and Bień-Stephen have been letting followers in on every step of their romantic journey, which began in November 2021. They’ve intimately documented the finer points of their relationship, including the “rules” that made their open status work.
“I’ve never been upset or threatened by someone (I’m in a relationship with) sleeping with someone else,” Chatfield told Stellar magazine in a lengthy interview in August.
“It’s my kink. I just never really valued monogamy that much.
“It sounds awful, but I don’t really see him all that much, maybe two days a week. I don’t know if it’s scarcity, but he’s very good at communicating, and so am I.”
Chatfield’s fans picked up on Bień-Stephen’s absence on her social media, and have been filling comment sections with questions of: ‘Where’s Konrad?’, which she has not addressed.
The Bachie couple also posted profusely about their rescue dog Marco, and his passing just two months ago. Alarm bells were raised when Chatfield said that she had adopted a new dog in July, seemingly alone.
Chatfield and Bień-Stephen began dating secretly, while his season of The Bachelorette was still airing on television. He was sent home by Bachelorette Brooke Blurton, who reportedly will also be on The Challenge.
“It was awkward because he was all over [Marx] the second we started filming,” Bień-Stephen’s Challenge co-star told the Mail.
“It was like he was trying to make Brooke [Blurton] jealous because she was there too.”
