It’s the biggest affair scandal of the year, and despite happening on the other side of the world, Australian sporting codes have taken their opportunity to poke fun at former CEO Alex of Astronomer, Andy Byron, and senior executive Kristian Cabot.

Despite happening days ago, the Sydney Swans made quick reference to the scandal at their Saturday afternoon game at the SCG.

During one of their breaks in play, the Swans took the opportunity to host their own “kiss cam”, where Mr Byron and Ms Cabot made an impromptu cameo.

The AFL’s graphic team had edited a red and white scarf on Ms Cabot, while Mr Byron was seen donning a GWS Giants beanie.

Not long after, as part of the NRL’s try July, where teams can do a celebration after they score to get $5,000 donated to charity, The NRLW Cowboys made a memorable debut at Shark Park, re-enacting the video after scoring against Cronulla.

Prop Mackenzie Weale scored a try, before being grabbed by teammate Tallisha Harden where the pair embraced as though they were listening to Coldplay, before running away from each other when seeing they were on camera.

The Cowboys reposted the celebration, dubbing the audio from the initial video with the caption, “no one’s safe from Chris Martain”.

Even the Wallabies and British and Irish Lions wanted to jump in on the fun, with MC Matt Baseley telling the sold out crowd in Brisbane on Saturday, “We have fired up the kiss cam”.

“If you’re a CEO with your head of HR, right now it’s time to leave the stadium,” he said.

After reaching all the worldwide fame, Mr Byron has been placed on leave from Astronomer, with the drama continuing to captivate audiences all around the world.
