The rumours were true – Aussie singer Jai Waetford has officially become a dad.
The former X Factor Australia star was all smiles as he cradled his newborn daughter Aaliyah while confirming the news in a sweet Instagram post.
“BLESSINGS ON BLESSINGS!,” he wrote.
“Shout out to my man Jesus Christ mannnn [sic]. All glory to the most high.
“Everyone meet Aaliyah, sorry I have been MIA, newborn phase ain’t no joke. Love you all, btw (by the way) new music coming soon.”
The news comes three weeks after Confidential revealed Waetford and his partner, Bec Donaghy, had quietly welcomed their first child.
The couple first announced they were expecting back in January, sharing a series of glowing photos of Donaghy showing off her bump.
“Baby Waetford coming 2025,” the 25-year-old wrote at the time.
The pair have remained largely private throughout the pregnancy, with the birth announcement marking their first update since February.
Waetford first won Aussie hearts in 2013 as a 14-year-old finalist on The X Factor Australia, where he quickly earned the nickname “Aussie Bieber.”
