The world’s top 5 richest celebrities

American astrologist Chani Nicholas doesn’t talk about her celebrity clients. A regular in the Oprah magazine and having recently done a reading for pop star Lizzo, Nicholas has worked with some big names.

“Everything is confidential,” the Los Angeles based astrologist said.

“Because I gave Lizzo a live reading and she gave me her blessing to talk about whatever came up in that, I can say that but anybody else I can’t really give any names for.”

Nicholas is in Australia to launch Spotify’s Cosmic Playlists at Quay at the Overseas Passenger Terminal tonight with Jack River performing a set.

Cosmic Playlists is a soundtrack to the astrology for the month ahead or “a monthly horoscope in music form”.

“It is like a therapy session,” Nicholas said of astrology readings.

“And so a lot of details of the persons life comes out and also, you are not giving a reading to be known for giving them a reading, you are giving them a reading to be helpful to them and to serve them with the astrology.”

A healthy scepticism is understandable, she added.

“There are still a lot of people that are sceptical but there is more information in the world than we’ve ever had access to,” she explained.

“I think we are all looking for reflection and for context and sometimes we are looking for excuses or an explanation.”

Millennials, she said, had inspired a resurgence in interest in astrology and wellness.

“Millennials are really into self care and self exploration and therapeutic and healing practices and what that might mean,” she said.

“Gen Z is also very up on that tip as well.”
