Actor Annabelle Stephenson lands role on Home and Away

Actor Annabelle Stephenson believes she has a good idea how Charlie Bucket felt winning his way in to the Wonka Factory.
That is how she felt after landing a role on popular TV drama, Home and Away.
“It is a bit like the golden ticket in Willy Wonka,” she said. You have gotten the golden ticket and you have the pass to go in there, I think that is what it is like. You can eat all of the chocolate, do all the auditions and when you get the golden ticket you are in and it is the best feeling. Especially during COVID, the gigs are so hard to come by during all of the lockdown and stuff.”
Stephenson, who has auditioned for the soap in the past, continued: “This year for me having Home and Away was an ironic blessing. You have all of these years of struggle and striving to get roles and then when there is a drop, to get this, I think everything happens for a reason.”
Stephenson, 30, joins the cast of Home and Away as Taylor Rosetta, wife of Detective Angelo Rosetta (Luke Jacobz) with her first scenes to play out on air tonight.
A graduate of Australia’s National Institute of Dramatic Art, she has spent the past few years living between Europe and the United States.
“This is one of the more exciting projects I have done in a long time, especially since I have lived away from Australia for a while,” she said, having previously appeared on shows including Tidelands, Revenge, H2O: Just Add Water and Rescue Special Ops. “I feel very lucky.”
