2GB’s Ben Fordham beats Kyle and Jackie O in Sydney radio ratings

Ben Fordham has finished on top for the radio ratings year, wrapping 2022 as the number one show in Sydney.
The 2GB breakfast host came in with a whopping 15.7 per cent audience share, representing a rise of 0.9 of a percentage point, and beating his nearest competition of Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson on KIIS FM with their 14.8 per cent share, which was down 0.1 of a percentage point.
There are eight GfK survey releases in a year with Fordham winning seven surveys in the all-important breakfast timeslot for 2022 while Sandilands and Henderson topped the market for just one.
Elsewhere in breakfast, WSFM ranked third for the survey with an 8.8 per cent share (up 1.1), while smooth 95.3 and ABC Syd came in equal fourth with shares of 8.4 per cent.

Overall across all stations, 2GB finished at number one for survey eight of the year with a 12.5 per cent share, up 0.9 of a percentage point. KIIS 106.5 followed with an 11.6 per cent share (up 0.3), smooth 95.3 at 10.4 per cent (up 0.1), WSFM at 8.7 per cent (up 1.0) and Nova 96.8 steady at 7.1 per cent.
In mornings, starting at 9am, 2GB veteran Ray Hadley finished with a leading 15.9 per cent share, an impressive jump of 2.6 percentage points and well ahead of his nearest rival at KIIS on 13 per cent.
“It is nice to finish the year with an increase,” Hadley said.
“My team has worked hard and deserve the success – looking forward to 2023 and hopefully 150 consecutive survey wins.”
