Guess who’s back.
Jennifer Love Hewitt has officially confirmed her return for the upcoming I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot, sparking speculation on when the star will fly down under to join the rest of the cast.
While Hollywood’s rising stars have been spotted filming the highly anticipated film in Sydney, the question remains when Hewitt will make her journey to the Harbour City.
The 45-year-old took to Instagram in a recent post to share a photo of herself in front of a mirror littered with post-it notes. In the caption, she joked that it was “never too late to go back,” and confirmed that her character Julie James will return for the movie.
The move came just a few days after Hewitt teased she would “love to be back” but hadn’t yet confirmed her involvement.
Meanwhile, rising stars Madelyn Cline, Chase Sui Wonders and Sarah Pidgeon were snapped in high spirits with Freddie Prinze Jr on set earlier this month at Sydney’s iconic Watson’s Bay.
The waterfront doubled as Southport, North Carolina, to film the continuation of the cult hit.
Prinze Jr will reprise his role as Ray Bronson in the 1997 original movie, while former Buffy The Vampire Slayer star wife Sarah Michelle Gellar’s character, beauty queen Helen Shivers, was killed off in what went on to become a hugely successful global horror franchise.
The reboot will also star other young faces Tyriq Withers, Jonah Haur-King and Gabriette Bechtel.
