Serena Williams and husband Alexis Ohanian have welcomed their second child.
The tennis ace has given birth to a girl named Adira River. The couple already have a daughter, five-year-old Olympia.
Williams shared the news in a cute video shared with her 1.6 million followers on TikTok.
In the clip, she takes a seat with Alexis and Olympia before she gets up and returns with the newborn in her arms.
Writing on Twitter, the proud dad said: “I’m grateful to report our house is teaming with love: a happy & healthy newborn girl and happy & healthy mama. Feeling grateful. @serenawilliams you’ve now given me another incomparable gift — you’re the GMOAT.
“Thanks to all the amazing medical staff who took care of my wife & our daughter. I’ll never forget the moment I introduced @olympiaohanian to her baby sister,” he said.
He concluded: “Your peace would have been like a river, your well-being like the waves of the sea.”
Williams announced her retirement from the professional tennis circuit in August 2022 following an interview with Vogue. But she later confessed she was torn by the decision.
“I for sure feel more at peace now. It’s interesting. I think I feel torn because I’m still able to play at a very, very, very high level … With that being said, I always wanted to leave the game playing at a very high level,” she told E!
