‘I found my princess’: Rebel Wilson comes out as gay as Hugh Sheridan plays cupid

An Australian actor has revealed how he played cupid in Rebel Wilson’s new relationship after she started a relationship with another woman.

Australian actor Hugh Sheridan says he is the reason Rebel Wilson is with her new flame after she came out as lesbian on social media.

“I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince … but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess #loveislove,” a loved up Wilson wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of new girlfriend, LA-based fashion designer, Ramona Agruma.

A short time later, Sheridan, 36, posted a series of pictures and videos with the three of them revealing he introduced the couple to each other.

“My two best friends. Call me c-hupid,” Sheridan wrote on Instagram alongside a series of photos and videos of Wilson and Agruma with the actor.

Last month, Wilson told People magazine that she was “happily” in a relationship but did not elaborate further on the identity of her partner.

Wilson said that she had been looking for a relationship on dating apps, but she was ultimately introduced to her new girlfriend through a friend.

“I was on and off on the Raya [dating] app, but this was a friend set up,” she said. “He had known both of us for at least five years and he thought we would hit it off — and then we did!” Wilson told People magazine.

“We spoke on the phone for weeks before meeting. And that was a really good way to get to know each other,” she said. “It was a bit old-school in that sense — very romantic.”

“I think going through the process of finding more self-worth, I think that what you want in a partner is elevated and so it’s great to have someone who feels like an equal partner and be in a healthy relationship,” Wilson said.

“There were times — I’m not saying with all my exes, they’re great — but there were some times that I was probably putting up with that I shouldn’t have. So it feels different to be in a really healthy relationship.”

The pair has been hiding in plain sight, as Wilson took Agruma as her date to the Vanity Fair Oscar party in March. They also took a long-weekend trip to Utah, in April, where they attended an event together.

Wilson and Agruma, the owner of the fashion brand Lemon Ve Limon, have posed for tons of photos together on the comedian’s Instagram, though it initially appeared they were simply friends. Agruma’s account is private, so it’s unknown what is being presented there or if she shared Wilson’s announcement.

Wilson last dated US brewing heir Jacob Busch, but the pair split in early 2021. She was then linked to tennis player Matt Reid.
