Hitmaking, hat-rocking singer/producer Pharrell Williams stepped out at the 86th annual Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon in Los Angeles today wearing a replica of his infamous oversized Grammys hat. The new hat slights differed in colour and was arguably even bigger than the accessory Williams donned at last month’s awards. It begs the question: who is making these increasingly large hats for Williams, and how can they be stopped?

Williams is nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song for his smash hit contribution to the film Despicable Me 2, Happy. He’s set to perform the track at the March 2 ceremony — assuming he can fit his next oversized hat through the door.
