Australian cricket captain Pat Cummins has all he needs for Christmas with pregnant wife Becky and their three year-old son Albie.
“I feel like we’re very lucky, we don’t need anything more,” Cummins said, adding that a decent night’s sleep would be welcome.
Becky is due with the couple’s second child in late January.
A smiling Albie will be happy with some biscuits from Santa.
“He loves Walkers, the Scottish brand of biscuits and just loves shortbread,” Becky said.
“We can get away with that and a bit of Play-Doh for now.”
The Cummins will be surrounded by family in Melbourne before Australia brings the heat to the MCG with a sellout crowd against India.
The temperature is expected to push 40C.
“It’s crazy, can’t wait,” Cummins said.
“So many people I know have flown down for it. Even a lot of people from India have flown out for their chance to see a sellout Boxing Day Test. Last week in Brisbane was pretty hot, so we’re used to it.”
