Luke Sayers has been involved in another photo mystery.

And it’s caused just as much confusion as the now-infamous “dick pic”.

Sightings of Sayers have become a recent “where’s Wally” since he returned to Australia from his Italian holiday home.

The former Carlton Prez, who resigned after a lewd image was posted to social media in January, was allegedly seen in and around the Bupa building last week. Bupa is a major sponsor of the club.

But it was a photo taken at The Westin Melbourne on Wednesday afternoon showing someone who looks a lot like Sayers that is even more puzzling.

When contacted about the image, Sayers passed Page 13 onto his spin doctor.

And that’s when the perplexing gobbledygook started.

Spin doctor Sharon McCrohan, who also holds positions at Racing Victoria and the Transport Accident Commission, was quick to say the image (top), snapped in the lobby of The Westin in Melbourne’s CBD, was more than “a year old”.

“Whoever showed you the photo cannot be claiming to have taken it themselves a few days ago because it’s literally a year old,” Ms McCrohan said.

The metadata reveals the picture was snapped on Wednesday.

However, the image metadata (above) clearly shows the photo had been taken on Wednesday.

Ms McCrohan insisted Sayers had “not worn jeans” nor had he been at the hotel since arriving back in Melbourne.

The metadata contradicts information provided by Sharon McCrohan.

The other option, of course, is that the man in the image is not Luke Sayers at all and this is all a doppelganger storm in a tea cup.

In the words of Lewis Carroll: “’Curiouser and curiouser,’ cried Alice.”
