Nicole Kidman’s daughters set to follow in her acting footsteps

Nicole Kidman’s daughter Sunday Rose has already appeared on our screens in Big Little Lies. And now Faith Margaret is set to do the same. Does that mean the Kidman Urban girls are going to pursue a career in acting as well?

Casting your primary school-aged daughters in a Hollywood production once could be put down as a bit of fun or some casual work experience.

But doing it twice might suggest more serious ambitions for a Hollywood career.

Eagle-eyed Big Little Lies fans may have spotted the names of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s daughters Sunday Rose, 10, and Faith Margaret, eight, in the closing credits of the popular Foxtel program last month.

The girls were listed as “schoolchildren” in the credits and after some digging we have found a still of Sunday Rose in a classroom scene.

In October Kidman told Ellen DeGeneres her daughters would have a cameo on the show.

Sunday Rose Urban appears as one of the schoolchildren in Big Little Lies.

“I just wanted them to be at work with me,” she said.

“They were there the day that Reese (Witherspoon) got the ice-cream truck for my birthday, so they were thrilled. You do see their faces in the classroom actually, which they’re like, ‘eh, I wish I had a bigger role’.”

The girls also are rumoured to have had a turn in the HBO series, The Undoing, in which Kidman stars opposite Hugh Grant and Donald Sutherland.

For that production Kidman was also executive producer, probably making it easier to find a role for the children.

So has Kidman got acting hopes for her daughters?

Sources suggest Kidman is following the lead taken by her best friend and fellow countrymen Simon Baker and actor wife Rebecca Rigg, who have encouraged son Claude’s decision to follow in their footsteps and into screen work.

While Kidman has said she harbours no celluloid ambitions for her daughters, we’re predicting at least one of the girls develops an appetite for the business.
