Nicole Kidman farewells mother Janelle at funeral service in Sydney
The Australian actress, alongside her husband and children, said goodbye to her beloved mother during an intimate funeral service held in Sydney.

Nicole Kidman has farewelled her beloved mother at an intimate funeral in Sydney.
The Australian actress, 57, was supported by husband Keith Urban and their two children Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret as family and friends gathered at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Lavender Bay Tuesday afternoon.
Janelle Kidman died early September aged 84.
According toThe Daily Telegraph, both Kidman and her sister Antonia Kidman spoke at the service, as did Janelle’s eight grandchildren, including TV host Lucia Hawley, who is the eldest grandchild.
The service was attended by Australian actor Russell Crowe, as well as Nine broadcaster Peter Overton and his wife Jessica Rowe.
Kidman found out her mother had died upon landing in Venice, Italy on September 8 ahead of the Venice Film Festival, where she was honoured with the Best Actress award for her performance in the upcoming erotic thriller Babygirl.
The film’s director Halina Reijn accepted the award on Kidman’s behalf, before sharing a statement from Kidman with the crowd.
“Today, I arrived in Venice to find out shortly after my brave and beautiful mother, Janelle Ann Kidman, had just passed,” Kidman wrote.
“I’m in shock and I have to go to my family, but this award is for her.
“She shaped me, she guided me and she made me. I am beyond grateful that I get to say her name to all of you through Halina. The collision of life and art is heartbreaking. My heart is broken.”
Janelle’s cause of death has not yet been shared, but it’s understood she had been battling a long illness.
She first suffered health concerns in 2016 when she was taken to a Sydney hospital after a suspected heart scare.
It came just two years after her husband, Dr Antony Kidman, died of a heart attack inside a Singapore restaurant in 2014.
Kidman and Urban are primarily based in Nashville, Tennessee, with their two daughters, though they also own homes in Manhattan and Australia.
