Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban spend New Year’s Eve Day at Randwick Races

Home-grown Hollywood megastar Nicole Kidman dropped in at the races on Saturday, with a form guide in one hand and hubby Keith Urban in the other. SEE OUR EXCLUSIVE PICS.

They’ve enjoyed strolls along Sydney Harbour and feasted on kebabs “with the lot” in Manly.

Now Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have continued their Sydney summer sojourn by spending New Year’s Eve day at the races.

But forget the fancy dresses and too-hot-for-December suits — the Nashville-based megastars continued their relaxed approach to the holiday season, going to Randwick Racecourse dressed in baseball caps, casual polos, white linen and sandshoes.

And while Kidman’s trademark curly hair made them unmissable among the crowd, their popularity with the public has not stopped them taking on relaxed tourist roles.

Kidman touched down in Sydney soon before Christmas and was greeted by Urban, who has been in Australia performing in his national tour. Their daughters Sunday, 14, and Faith, 12, are here with them.

Always arm-in-arm, the couple have happily posed for photos with fans while visiting Kidman’s family for Christmas and were doing so again yesterday, with Kidman clutching a race day form guide in one hand and her husband in the other.

Sitting in members’ stands, they laughed and smiled at the crowd, enjoying the last day of 2022 just as they will start the new year — together.

Using a luxury North Sydney penthouse as a base while they are relaxing around the Harbour City, the couple seem happier than ever, 16 years into their marriage.
