The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) film is now an epic 210 minutes long on streaming

Taylor Swift is no stranger to surprising her fans and she has done it again just weeks after performing seven sold out shows in Australia.

Swiftonomics fails to make a dent

Queen of the bonus Taylor Swift has added an extra 41 minutes to her box office hit Eras Tour concert film for the “Taylor’s Version” which dropped on streamer Disney+ on Friday.

The 210 minutes extended streaming version of the pop music extravaganza features five added tracks to entice Swifties to once again watch the film of the concert, just a few weeks after she performed seven sold out stadium shows in Australia.

The theatrical version ran to 169 minutes. It became the biggest concert film of all time when it premiered in cinemas in October, grossing $400 million worldwide.

Swift then offered a few extra songs to the digital version, which was also available for rent, with fans delighting in seeing Long Live, The Archer and Wildest Dreams included in the film.

She has now stretched the concert couch experience to a marathon three hours and 30 minutes with the “bonus” tracks Cardigan and acoustic versions of Maroon, Death by a Thousand Cuts, You Are in Love and I Can See You.

The Disney+ streaming version of the Eras Tour also seemed to suggest there might be a new merchandise drop with a “special access to selected merchandise” shout out on the film’s page.

But the link directed fans to the pre-order page for upcoming new record The Tortured Poets Department at her Australian store.

Thousands of Aussie Swifties clocked off early on Friday to watch the film when it arrived at noon, sharing their reactions and favourite moments on social media.

While those who already subscribed to the streaming platform could watch Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) for free, no doubt thousands have signed up for the $13.99 a month standard package to view the updated concert movie.

All the streamers would have put their hat in the ring to licence Swift’s box office smash with Disney reported to have paid more than $110 million for the global rights.

Disney is using the Eras Tour film to promote their extensive movie catalogue with a Taylor takeover of the Disney+ homepage for one day only.

There are nine curated sets of movies inspired by each of her eras such as 1989 (Disney’s Version) with The Little Mermaid, Speak Now (Disney’s Version) with The Princess Diaries and Cruella starring in Reputation (Disney’s Version).

Fans appear to have become obsessed with Swift’s potty-mouth moments during the Eras Tour concert with the most popular watch party posts referencing the “1, 2, 3, let’s go, bitch” chant before the opening verse of Delicate and the “what a shame she’s f…ed in the head” lyric from Champagne Problems.
