Kid Laroi’s girlfriend, pop star Tate McRae, gets arrested while naked in the music video for her new single It’s OK, I’m OK.

The wardrobe budget for Tate McRae’s new music video must have been tiny.

The Canadian pop star strips naked in the clip for the new single It’s OK, I’m OK, taking inspiration from the likes of Britney Spears and The Pussycat Dolls.

The song, a collaboration with producers ILYA, Savan Kotecha, and Ryan Tedder, serves as a bold statement to her exes, making it clear she’s moved on.

Fans quickly noticed several references to iconic pop moments, drawing comparisons between McRae’s video and Britney Spears’ visuals for I Wanna Go and Womanizer and the Pussycat Dolls’ video for banger When I Grow Up.

In one scene, the star gets arrested while in nothing but her birthday suit as she warbles at the camera.

McRae will return to touring in November to support her new record, hopping the pond to tour her presumed boyfriend, The Kid Laroi’s, homeland: Australia and New Zealand.

The pair first sparked dating rumours earlier this year after posting some selfies, with Laroi later talking about McRae, also a singer, at one of his own shows.

In April, he told fans at a show in Dublin, Ireland, that his girlfriend was in the crowd that night.

“I need everybody in here to sing this as loud as they can because my girlfriend’s here tonight and I don’t want to look lame,” he said.

One crafty fan then managed to get a video of McRae hanging out from the side of the stage, giggling at her boyfriend’s antics. “If you guys don’t sing this really loud. It’s going to embarrass me,” he added.

However, it wasn’t until July that they decided to finally make things Instagram official.

Laroi posted a photo to his story of the two kissing for McRae’s birthday, writing: “Happy 21st birthday. You make me better! I love yoooouuu @tatemcrae.”

Speaking to Zane Lowe in early 2024, McRae briefly commented on her professional relationship with Laroi, sharing: “He’s so in love with music … Even talking to him, I really admire him. I just think he’s an unreal artist.”

McRae previously dated hockey player Cole Sillinger. He’d sweetly said in an interview that she was his celebrity crush, and the pair dated from 2021 before parting ways sometime in 2023.
